| Description |
The course will help adult learners to further the ability to communicate information by graphical means. Participants will be challenged to develop their ability to visualise and understand spatial relationships. It covers the whole Business Studies Syllabus at Matriculation Certificate (Advanced level).
Key Competence: Mathematical literacy & basic competencies in science and technology. Learning to learn.
Learning Outcomes:
Competence: The adult learner will be able to communicate through drawings various ideas while become able to develop new ideas upon given criteria.
Knowledge: The adult learner will learn to use various methods of construction both in geometrical and mechanical outcomes.
Skills: The adult learner will be able to mix the knowledge acquired during the course and the concepts to newly presented situations in the course syllabus.
Contact hours: Two weekly sessions of 1.30-hour duration each. 5 credits of a total 96 hours contact time and 32 hours self-study time.
Assessment: Continuous assessment methods will be used during the course. Participants will sit for a final exam to assess the learning outcomes at the end of the course and/or sit for the Matriculation Certificate - Advance Level (MC).
Course requirements: preferably Graphical Communication at 'SEC' level. .
Recommended Texts: Notes and exercises are provided.
The Directorate for Lifelong Learning shall be receiving applications between Friday 28th August and Friday 11th September 2009 from 8.30am till noon. APPLICATIONS SENT BEFORE FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
